NEET SS 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has prescribed the eligibility criteria for NEET SS 2020. Candidates who wish to apply for the entrance test are advised to go through the NEET SS 2020 eligibility criteria before filling the application.
- Candidate must possess a postgraduate degree (MD/ MS/ DNB/ Equivalent) from a recognised institution
- Candidates who will complete their postgraduate degree on or before July 15, 2020, will be eligible for NEET SS 2020
- He/ she must be registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council
NEET SS 2020 For Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals who wish to pursue a super specialty course from India need to appear for the NEET SS 2020 examination and clear it. Such candidates do not need to be registered with the MCI/ SMC, provided he/ she is duly registered with the appropriate authority in his/ her own country.
On securing a seat through NEET SS, the MCI may grant temporary registration to these candidates for the duration of the postdoctoral course. This registration will be temporary and shall be limited to the medical college/ institution to which he/ she is admitted.
NEET SS 2020 Admission Process
- The admission process for super specialty courses starts with the official exam notification of NEET SS 2020. This notification was accompanied by the NEET SS 2020 application form. The application form had to be filled online and registration on the official website of NBE was mandatory to access the form. To complete the application process, candidates had to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 3750 (+18% GST).
- Candidates who completed the application process in time and were eligible for NEET SS 2020, they were issued the admit card for the entrance examination. NEET SS 2020 admit card was also be uploaded online and candidates had to login to the accounts created during the registration process to download it.
- Candidates then needed to appear for the entrance test which was scheduled for September 15. NEET SS 2020 result will be announced for various broad specialties. Candidates can check their result online. These results will be handed over to the MCC, DGHS and MoHFW, the bodies responsible for NEET SS counselling.
